Studies starting on 1982 in USA and in Canada by Jerry Hill and researchers from Princeton University – USA originated the Heartwise Communications program. This program allows a detailed analysis of personal strengths, helping people to know themselves, and companies to know their collaborators with an increased depth, contributing to proper recognition and development. After four years of intense investigation and development, the Heartwise Communication program had its first version concluded. Additionally, in 1992 the program configuration was updated with use of available computing techniques. In this same year, it was translated to Spanish and adapted to the Latin American culture, to reach a foreseen market demand. After three years, the Heartwise Communication program had already been applied in thirty eight countries in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
From 2003 onward, it began to be used by Florida Christian University, in Orlando – Florida. At this time, the SOAR study was introduced in all programs delivered internationally by FCU. After four years of work with SOAR, Dr. Anthony Portigliatti realizing its value made an offer to acquire control of Heartwise Communication and all copyrights involved, and became its president. The knowledge gained by utilization of this tool and studies done over it, made possible to implement new functionalities for human development, leading to what became known as SOAR. Portuguese language was included, making it a trilingual system, when was created the SOAR Global Institute with a global reach vision. In 2016 a totally revamped software will be launched, further exploring the potential of the SOAR Profile and supporting the operation of a network of Practitioners within a collaborative ecosystem.
